About
Clinical efficacy, operational reality, and how the money actually moves.
Board-certified emergency physician and clinical informaticist, now advising the companies, investors, and health systems building clinical AI.
Scale reached
$60M → $700M Revenue growth during a digital health scale-upEvaluating a digital health product well requires three kinds of expertise: understanding whether it works clinically, whether it fits the realities of how care is delivered, and whether the economics behind it hold up. Most people in the industry know one or two of those dimensions well. The gaps between them are often where promising products fail, and where bad investments get made.
I've spent my career working across all three. I trained in emergency medicine at Emory and practiced for nearly a decade in busy academic and community emergency departments. I later completed formal training in biomedical informatics at Oregon Health & Science University and moved into health technology full time, first optimizing Epic and Cerner across multi-hospital systems, then leading clinical programs through the growth of Livongo and Teladoc, and later building AI-powered care navigation at Transcarent. Today, I serve as Associate Chief Medical Officer at Hippocratic AI, where I focus on the safety and validation of patient-facing autonomous AI agents.
That experience gives me a practical lens on digital health from multiple angles. I can assess whether a clinical claim will withstand scrutiny from a health system's medical staff; what a product will actually do to a clinician's workflow on a busy afternoon; and whether the people expected to use it realistically will. I can also evaluate the underlying economics: who writes the check, who captures the savings, and whether those are the same party.
That last question is particularly important. A product can work exactly as designed and still fail commercially because the organization paying for it isn't the one capturing most of the value. When incentives don't align, the business model fails, regardless of how compelling the clinical story may be.
I've also sat on both sides of the table: presenting to investors during a $700 million acquisition and evaluating vendors on behalf of the health systems purchasing their products.
I work through Anoop Sangha Consulting LLC, a single-member practice. I deliberately limit engagements so that each receives meaningful time, attention, and involvement.
